As far as I'm aware this is a false match as there is no standard alternative that works the same. This property is used in conjunction with display: -webkit-box and -webkit-line-clamp, which has no equivalent standard replacement and WHATWG has standardized the combination of these webkit-prefixed properties instead. See note from here:
For legacy support, the vendor-prefixed -webkit-line-clamp property only works in combination with the display property set to -webkit-box or -webkit-inline-box and the -webkit-box-orient property set to vertical. Despite these prefixed properties being deprecated, the co-dependency of these three properties is a fully specified behavior and will continue to be supported.

The -webkit-legacy value behaves identically to collapse, except that it only takes effect if the specified value of the display property is -webkit-box or -webkit-inline-box and the value of the -webkit-box-orient property is vertical.
You are right, -webkit-box-orient with the value vertical is not deprecated.

This is invalid CSS. As per https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/basic-shape/rect, the correct syntax is without the commas:
a { clip-path: rect(0 0 0 0); }I think rect with commas was only valid in the deprecated clip property.
