This always annoyed me as dead space that isn't super informative. Now that we have a) block types available in the API and b) the files list attached to a sample available in the database, with a few tweaks to the summary route I think we can have a little icon showing a file and overlaid with a number of attached files, and a block, overlaid with the number of blocks. Perhaps hovering over that icon also lists the block types (until eventually we move to collapsible rows for more info).
