Description
I've been working with literally hundreds of slices since I have to export many sprites as separate objects. The fact that Aseprite supports slices and exporting via CLI is very gratifying in itself, but I had some ideas regarding how to improve the tool. I might be over it by the time the functionality is implemented, but oh well.

1. Slices - Multiple Selection and editing
On countless occasions I wanted to select multiple slices so that I can move them around in the same formation, duplicate or copy over to a new file. I think it would be great if you could treat them as objects on a special layer on top of the layer list. -
2. Better Naming for Slices
Currently, whenever you make a new slice rectangle, that slice is named just simply 'slice'. Perhaps you could allow us to select multiple rectangles and rename them all at once, while also numbering them automatically.
You could write into the box something like 'objectA-[000]', and the app would name the selected objects in that given format.
Or you could come up with a better, more ingenious solution... :) -
3. No Need to Close the Slice Property
Right now, we have to click on 'ok' to apply the changes made to the selected slice.
I think it would be great if you could just keep the property box open, just like with the 'Layer Properties' box. You would left-click on a slice with the slice tool (or a new slice-selection tool) to change what the properties box is tracking right now.
That would save me a lot of unnecessary clicks! :) -
4. Slice Name Popup on Mouse Hover
I am aware of the slice name at the bottom, but I think it might be of more help if you would make it into a popup instead so that we don't have to look up and down while browsing the slices.
I think that's it for now. I'd love to hear what you think about these suggestions! The program is so light, powerful and intuitive all at the same time, but working with slices has been a big pain, though immensely helpful. :)
