The current rules only apply if the companion class is called `Companion`. If obfuscation is triggered, the rule does not work and the static `Companion` field is not kept, which breaks the lookup of a companion. A rule has also been added that preserves the named companion class name and field, as they must match to correctly search for the named companion in runtime. Fixes #2976

Does the change implemented in this PR affect the Android section of the README where it currently says the following? Android section of README### Android By default, proguard rules are supplied with the library. However, these rules do not affect serializable classes if they have named companion objects. If you want to serialize classes with named companion objects, you need to add and edit rules below to your Note that the rules for R8 differ depending on the compatibility mode used.
