“Gaming has the power to transform lives” Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity - often called the Oscars of advertising - has celebrated some of the industry’s most daring campaigns. This year, our Papaya’s SWING campaign joined the ranks with 3 shortlist nominations ✨ On the Creative First podcast, our Brand & Strategy Lead, Liran Kaplan, sat down with host Meiran Pachman to share how SWING challenged mobile gaming conventions. Stripping away from the expected and building a whole new brand platform idea, Liran shared some behind-the-scenes about the bold choices behind SWING: “We wanted to remind people of the joy of play-not through cash prizes or game footage, but with a cinematic story that connects on an emotional level.” The Cannes recognition and industry buzz mark a milestone in our creative journey. He showed market trends from early 2025 and outlined what’s next: global agreement or renewed tariff war. A group of Papayers trained with professional drivers, achieved official racing licenses, and ultimately competed in two endurance races against seasoned pros, finishing one of them just seconds away from the podium. 🏎️🏁 But it was never really about racing. What was the last time you aired your dirty laundry on stage in front of hundreds of people? We did. And no, we’re not ashamed. At Creatives & Conversions TLV, our #Papaya stars took the stage for a live therapy session on one of the most complicated relationships in marketing: 👉 Creative × User Acquisition Led by the asking-all-the-hard-questions therapist Ran Avrahamy (CMO AppsFlyer), we laid it all out on the couch. While UA is all about spotting user patterns and connecting analytical dots, creative is about phrasing, feeling - and hitting impossible deadlines. Yes, there’s friction. Adam Goldman (UA) talks about CPI, ROAS, and CPR Johnny Meital (Creative) speaks in emotion, storytelling, and flow. But like in any relationship, it’s all about communication. We don’t do power struggles — we master collaborations and playing to each other’s strengths. Different love languages, same mission. Mastering that tension is our growth formula - and we just love it. It’s our day-to-day work and what gives us the space to play some new wild cards (and not just in our Solitaire Cash game 😉)
