It can be hard to know which direction is really meant by a tags value like ENE or 350.
I have two ideas how to optimize this:

• Like in the id-editor show it on the map
• Add a small arrow on the featurepanel next to the tag value.

Here I've added just a simple static arrow to give a feel how it may look. In a real implementation it would need to be rotated correctly.
