Become a sponsor to PlutoPrint
We build PlutoBook, a robust and lightweight HTML/CSS rendering engine for paged media. Designed for high-quality PDF and image output, PlutoBook enables developers, publishers, and tooling authors to generate precise, print-ready documents from HTML and CSS.
Our companion project, PlutoPrint, brings this functionality to Python, making it easy to automate reports, e-books, print previews, and more using familiar scripting tools.
PlutoBook is written from scratch in C and C++ for speed, portability, and control. It avoids dependencies on browser engines like Chromium or WebKit and uses modern C++ techniques and a custom layout engine to deliver clean, deterministic output. This makes it ideal for headless rendering, static publishing, and embedded workflows.
Your sponsorship helps us dedicate focused development time to improving rendering accuracy, expanding CSS and HTML support, adding essential features such as JavaScript, and keeping the core libraries well-documented and actively maintained.
We believe in building sustainable and high-quality open source. Your support ensures PlutoBook remains fast, modern, and free to use for individuals, small teams, and large organizations alike.
