Hi, I’m Namhyeon Go, the sole developer behind Catswords OSS, an independent open-source software team based in South Korea.

I create and maintain a variety of open-source projects on GitHub, including middleware, debugging tools, and system components. Some of my active projects include WelsonJS, a project based on a Windows ECMAScript engine, and Caterpillar Proxy, a Python-based proxy server specialized in protocol debugging. I am also actively involved in open technology initiatives such as WebAssembly and ActivityPub.

My mission is to make powerful and secure technologies accessible to everyone by sharing them freely through open-source development, without any organizational or financial barriers.

Sponsorships are used to support this mission and are allocated to the following purposes:

  • Covering the cost of cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, including servers, storage, and electricity required to keep Catswords OSS services running
  • Maintaining the security of the Catswords OSS team and infrastructure, including antivirus software and related tools
  • Covering the costs of legal registrations and official paperwork required to maintain and operate the projects smoothly
  • Acquiring helpful development tools that enhance productivity, such as subscriptions to AI assistants like a paid version of ChatGPT
  • Hosting regular offline events to present and brief the public on Catswords OSS projects
