The algorithm now requires the linear part W of the symmetry operation (W, w) to preserve the metric tensor G, i.e. G = W^TGW. Should this be applied to the layer groups?

Should the non-lattice vector c affect the crystallographic point group? Or only the 2D lattice matters?
