Am interested in how a user may leverage the image processing and signal processing APIs from SciPy, but implement the underlying algorithm to act on their own particular data structure without causing any changes in downstream user code. NEP 18 seems to suggest this is one of the intended goals. Also SciPy's roadmap alludes to this as well. Given it seems everyone is on-board with this idea, am really only curious how we get started? 😄
