On macOS, if we go to Readest menu > About, it just shows us a version. There's no update check in there nor is there an menu option in any other menus at all in the menu bar.

Since I have the book view open all the time, there's no menu either inside the app to check for an update either when I get a release notification from Github.

To check for an update, we have to manually exit the book view and go to the library view to select About Readest from top right to select About Readest to get this:
