Starting from Ray 2.49.0 tentatively, we plan to stop publishing and supporting MacOS x86_64 wheels. Intel-chip MacOS users can still use Ray version 2.48.x or below.

Intel Macs are no longer produced and with time fewer will remain in use. Many Python packages have already stopped publishing MacOS x86_64 wheels, and some only patch security vulnerabilities in the MacOS arm64 ones; we are following suit.

Practically, the Intel MacOS CI are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and it has delayed several recent releases.
