https://github.com/ekristen/aws-nuke is a fork of the original aws-nuke which then got rewritten to v3 which has several improvements. aqua has now added ekristen/aws-nuke (aquaproj/aqua-registry#34262) and so mise should be able to update to this version as it also contains all the old v2 tags. An update would enable people to choose the better v3 version if they want to.
