Chore - Convert Tests to KotlinTest #28
Description
Context
Current tests are not easy to comprehend as it is a flat structure with mixed conditions and state. A specification-based test framework allows them to be better understood in a clear, understandable, and human-readable way.
Definition of Done
Unit and integration tests to be refactored to KotlinTest. util classes can be left as Java unit tests.
