I was able to verify that the FCGI support is at least mostly working however I am not able to get the site running yet.

I have generally been cross-compiling from Mac OS X for my "hello world" FCGI test but when I tried with gogs I ran into the aforementioned glibc version issues.
Then I setup a Linux VM with an old distro and tried compiling but had similar issues. I'm using a shared hosting environment so I was unable to just upgrade my glibc.
Eventually I was able to get around the glibc version issue by statically linking gogs like this:
go build --ldflags '-extldflags "-static"' -v -tags "sqlite"

After that I manually configured gogs to use a custom/conf/app.ini where I had set PROTOCOL = fcgi and DOMAIN and ROOT_URL. That got me far enough to see it running but it wasn't responding properly. I was getting a redirect to the install page but then the install page was redirecting me to the install page again instead of returning the template.

Then to get around potential issues with setting.AppSubUrl handling I moved everything to the root of the site. From here I could get the install page to but when trying to submit the page I get: Run user isn't the current user: kylepdavis. My FCGI wrapper script says that my current user is correct so I will have to do more digging to figure out what else is going on.

If you want you could probably go ahead and close this issue. If I find any other bugs I'll create more issues and / or PRs with more specific information in them.
