I noticed that when you use the fill column with value option, then in the data laboratory the change is immediately made, but not in the plotting screen. For example, I used this option to set all edge weights to one, but this only changed in the visualization if I would active the edge labels, and then select their weight as labels. I think probably this forces the edge weights to refresh in the visualization, but this should probably automatically happen when you use the fill column with value option.
