special chars are not working in terminal

Reproduction steps

open a terminal (local or pod exec) and try any char like | (pipe)

infos:

• macos sequoia on mbp M1 pro
• freelens 1.2.0 + no extension
• zsh as shell
• oh-my-zsh

Hints:

• the pipe character seems to send ctrl+A (goto start) to the shell
