According to setup.py, required Python interpreter version is py39+.

There is nothing special going on in the setup.py file, such setuptools-scm integration or appending the changelog to the readme file.

Migrating would be trivial.

Suspect the required package setuptools is also unnecessary. However didn't look thru the code base.

Is there any reason that would be holding back (pep518) migration?
