How to Remove embedded SVG in Pipeline File #2907

I am attempting to deploy Elyra at my organization and am running into issues with our Cyber Team all due to the embedded SVG in the Pipeline files. It is hitting our firewalls and preventing the execution of pipelines from the UI. I've been able to hack JupyterLab's on_save_hook function to remove the embedded svg in order to make things work, however any thing that triggers the UI to update the pipeline will cause it to be re-inserted and then execute from memory instead of disk. I have been trying to find the source code that injects the svg into the pipeline file but have had no real luck. Can someone point me to the file I would need to modify in order to remove the image?
