Bug Description:

I don't have clear steps to reproduce, but I often find that the left/right editor history navigation buttons at the top left of the main toolbar don't seem to take me back to places in files that I remember browsing or editing, especially after I've closed those files. Often it works, but sometimes it just seems to have missed files that I know I saw and want to return to, but they aren't in the history.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Browse around through a bunch of files and edit some.
2. Be sure to leave some in the italicized-title "I'm just passing through" state, edit others to un-italicize them, and explicit close some of both categories. I'm not sure what it is that produces the history failures, sorry.
3. Navigate back in the history and see that some of the files or cursor positions in files that you know you've visited don't come up in the history.
