The doxygen comments in printf.h leave something to be desired:

• Phrasing could use improvement
• The "tiny" claim is irrelevant
• Inconsistency w.r.t. whether we comment single functions or foo/vfoo pairs
• No use of ///@{ and ///@} to have comments apply to pairs of functions.
