Which step are you stuck on?

when i try to run app after some time it says gradel build fail.

Downgrading jdk to 11 was the solution for it.

@prafulbbandre on different operating systems, the default file encoding may vary:

Windows: The default file encoding on Windows is typically Cp1252 (also known as Windows-1252), like in your case.

macOS: The default file encoding on macOS and Linux is usually UTF-8.

Our repository uses UTF because we support non-standard characters from other languages.

When configuring your git client/git bash, you allowed the configuration to convert line endings from CRLF to LF, so when cloning the project, windows attempts to convert all the files to its native encoding.

Currently, our repository does not force the default encoding to be UTF-8, but it is in the works.

Step 1: Go to build.gradle (:model)
Step 2: Add the following lines of code to the end of file

java {
    sourceCompatibility = JavaVersion.VERSION_1_8
    targetCompatibility = JavaVersion.VERSION_1_8
}

This issue has been fixed in #5162. Pulling upstream/develop should allow you to build gradle successfully, and the java version in android studio should be jdk 11.
