Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute is a Public Institution affiliated to Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, led by Andrew Chi-Chih Yao, Turing Award winner and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Its mission is to conduct cutting-edge research in basic science, with focus on AI, information security and quantum computing. Since its founding, SQZ has delivered outstanding results in these basic sciences as well as related interdisciplinary domains, gaining recognition as a leading international institute.
