When running Ipe under a Wayland compositor (in my case Mutter for GNOME), submenus appear in odd places on the screen.

I also sometimes see

qt.qpa.wayland: Wayland does not support QWindow::requestActivate()

in the terminal when starting Ipe from the command line, but that seems to be unrelated to the weird positioning.
