Right now the default layout Feed list layout "Thumbnails (only Headlines)" does not have thumbnails anymore. Looks like this was accidentally introduced here: 8d97c0a#diff-17e4637243420a3aa0c6e04aca747002c2bfac8a7de1f23411e861f076c63770
