Interesting catch.

I saw this behaviour even if there is no an empty line and not only in json.

line 3

code before pasting

code after pasting

line 2 and line 3 should be indented.

Is it the same issue?

This is the reason I always paste the text at the beginning of the column, then I select it and indent it.
