Sorry to bother you, what is your file manager? I'm using Dophin but I have black folder/files names on dark background and in general a light theme in all kde apps on Niri. I don't get how to apply (kde) theme in Niri too. Can you/someone give a tip to me? Thanks! |

I downloaded and tinkered with lost-melody's ignis niri shell, and I've gotta say, it's got a lot of powerful functionality. Unfortunately my knowledge of python is... limited, so most of what I was able to do is restricted to basic css tricks. ... still, I was able to make a cool looking plank style zoom effect. Now if only there was a way to add absolutely positioned boxes. |

when you opened the overview... suddenly... I got it. I understood exactly why someone would want this. In fact, I think what this would work best on is the steam deck, you could tinker with the scaling settings and the icon sizes, setup as much as you can to respond on single click, find some way to set up a smart on screen keyboard that positions itself intelligently, then you've got a hell of a setup |

Using Rose Pine as a colour scheme I find it a easy to read without looking plain. I also switched my launcher to Fuzzel since I find it a bit easier to configure and because rofi-wayland version seems to be unmaintained (though it still technically works).

Hi ya! The thing is I've been using gentoo for a few days now and have chosen Niri as my daily driver for daily use and I quite like Niri's recent updates, uhh the experience is still the same as when I used arch + systemd and it's quite compatible with gentoo + openrc but there's one problem I can't run it in tty using elogind but it's quite good with seatd and I don't care about that much because it's already running heheh. Anyway this is the setup I'll use for the rest of my senior year of high school. I hope you guys like it and i love Niri btw;3 Dotfiles: https://github.com/crystalforceix/gentoo-niriwm |
