What problem does this address?

In the site editor when viewing templates, patterns, page etc. one can filter the data view (by author for example).
When editing e.g. a template and then exiting back to the templates grid, the previously applied filter(s) is reset.

What is your proposed solution?

It would be great if the applied filter(s) and view options (layout, sorting, fields display) could be remembered, as it would greatly improve workflow.
