Description
Description
The current help text in Gutenberg’s PostSticky
component states:
"Pin this post to the top of the blog."
This wording is inconsistent with Quick Edit, which use "Make this post sticky." Moreover, the phrase "pinning" and "top of the blog" can be misleading, as sticky posts are not necessarily limited to the top of the blog they can appear in archives, custom queries, and other filtered views.
Proposed Update (per Trac #18400)
Update the help text to:
"Make this post sticky."
This change ensures consistency across the WordPress UI and eliminates any ambiguity about how sticky posts behave.
Step-by-step reproduction instructions
- Create a new post
- Open the Post Settings sidebar.
- Click on Status to open the popover.
- Find the current help text “Pin this post to the top of the blog.”
