What
Inline HTML elements added to the excerpt no longer work in the front-end.
Steps to reproduce
WordPress 6.2: works as expected
Screen.Recording.2024-10-17.at.11.24.32.mov
WordPress 6.3: works in the editor but not in the front-end
Screen.Recording.2024-10-17.at.11.25.28.mov
Environment info
@justintadlock pinpointed it to this PR. I've confirmed that it works in WordPress 6.2 but not in WordPress 6.3.
