What problem does this address?
Word count, due to the different lenght of words induces some kind of design opinion where grid layouts always end up in a mosaic style with cards of different lengths. It's unusable for same card size grid layouts.
What is your proposed solution?
Changing it to character count or at least give this option would make it possible for theme designers to have more control over the design because it's a more predictable setting.
