What problem does this address?

Whenever we need to create a new layout for a site we have to build it from scratch. This can take time, and we can end up redoing a lot of work that someone has already achieved.

What is your proposed solution?

We should add some common layouts as patterns to Gutenberg so that we users easily implement these layouts. Some example patterns:

• Full width header and footer, constrained width content
• Wide width header and footer, constrained width content
• Constrained width site with header and footer
• Constrained width site with a sidebar
• I'm sure there will be more
