easy-live2d Roadmap

This roadmap outlines the high-level milestones that we intend to follow as we progress with easy-live2d development, but is subject to frequent adjustment as the project evolves.

Milestone 1: Core Integration ✅

Goal: Initial Live2D Web integration and migration to Pixi.js to make its core capabilities simple and easy to use.

Key features needed:

• Transfer core capabilities to Sprite
• Read model paths from configuration
• Configuration file migration support
• Direct control of expressions and motions
• Exposure of various event functions
• Basic voice playback support
• Voice lip-sync (currently only supports wav format)

Milestone 2: Advanced Core Capability Enhancement

Goal: Enhance core capabilities, attempt to support legacy model structures, and refactor the overall architecture.

Key features needed:

• Overall project refactoring
  • Overall code architecture
  • WebGL rendering issues, integration with Pixi.js rendering
  • Framework compatibility testing
• Voice lip-sync functionality enhancement
  • Multi-format compatibility
  • Support for network audio requests
• Compatibility with various Cubism model versions
  • Cubism 5
  • Cubism 4
  • Cubism 3
• Improve API documentation

Milestone 3: WebGPU Rendering Support

Goal: Support Pixi V8's WebGPU rendering capabilities.
