Hello! I have been waiting for a few weeks to have a new release with #2437. Without it my release process doesn't work.
I'm not in a rush because of it, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could release a new patch version (say v1.8.2) that has this change. I would prefer to avoid changing the release process to build maturin from master.
