[Bug]: Widgets sometimes break when disconnecting node inputs inside a subgraph #4922

@wavey-ar

Description

@wavey-ar

Prerequisites

  • I am running the latest version of ComfyUI
  • I have searched existing issues to make sure this isn't a duplicate
  • I have tested with all custom nodes disabled (see how)

What happened?

Expected: able to unlink subgraph inputs without breaking the connecting node corresponding widget.

Actual: subgraph inputs broke the node the widget that it was connected to (greyed out) when disconnected.

See the screen recording below:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the sampling subgraph (see video).
  2. Disconnect inputs from the first sampler within the subgraph.
  3. Observe the sampler widget breaking after disconnecting.

(If no effect occurs, disconnect an input from the sampling subgraph and refresh.)
