HyperSpy is an open source Python library which provides tools to facilitate the interactive data analysis of multidimensional datasets that can be described as multidimensional arrays of a given signal (e.g. a 2D array of spectra a.k.a spectrum image). For example, it can be used for analyzing electron microscopy data, and is the standard tool of choice for institutions such as ePSIC (Diamond Light Source) and Oxford University.
Currently the main method of setting up HyperSpy for use in workshops and academic purposes is to download the HyperSpy bundle, which includes a variety of associated packages for processing electron microscopy and crystallography data. This change tracks all of the dependencies of the HyperSpy bundle, allowing for easy use directly from nixpkgs.
Import tests are added but due to the esoteric nature of these packages, most do not have comprehensive test suites in their pyproject.toml files that we can attempt.
List of packages: [py4dstem, scikit-optimize, ncempy, pylops, particlespy, atomap, exspy, pyxem, hyperspy, emdfile, diffsims, orix, matplotlib-scalebar, diffpy-structure, abtem, pyfftw, rosettasciio, pycifrw]
